Method: the companion script check_links.py runs a dual-channel check over all links (direct → proxy fallback; HEAD → GET fallback). 2xx/3xx accepted; 403/405/429 recorded as "anti-scraping protection (browser-accessible)"; 401/451 as "login required". Scale: 521 → 651 unique links (including 63 added for the international segment of Pitfalls & Anti-patterns; see the 2026-10-05 expansion below). Result: 398 directly reachable · 42 anti-scraping protection · 2 login required (Apple/Sony developer portals, expected) · 15 anomalies (all handled).

2026-10-05 expansion check: ~130 links added (AI agents & skill resources, the new narrative & dialogue tools column, plus supplements across engines, tools, learning, communities, assets, publishing, services and compliance; 3 historical duplicate rows merged). Full dual-channel re-check (direct → proxy fallback): the large majority are directly reachable; a few are anti-scraping protection or local-network restrictions (Google / Adobe class, browser-accessible), or were removed as dead entries — details in the log.

2026-10-05 new columns: added "Open-Source Agents & Desktop Clients" and "Must-Have Game Dev Skill Repositories" — 37 links (35 directly reachable · 2 anti-scraping protection; none dead).

Pitfalls & Anti-patterns supplement check (2026-10-04): 63 new international-segment links, all reachable (60 directly reachable · 3 anti-scraping protection, browser-accessible); no dead entries (2 candidates excluded because their sites were down).

Anomaly handling details (15 items):

# Original link Verdict Handling
1 unity.cn/tuanjie 404 (path dead) Replaced with https://unity.cn/releases/lts (Tuanjie Engine download page)

8 www.manew.com (Manew) domain dead Entry deleted (no stable replacement)
9 www.gamelook.com.cn https unavailable Corrected to http://www.gamelook.com.cn/
10-12 adobe.com ×3 (PS/Au/Substance) local network timeout Kept; confirmed online via a third-party channel
13 www.csdn.net anti-scraping (521) Kept; confirmed online via a third-party channel
14 www.ear0.com anti-scraping (521) Kept; confirmed online via a third-party channel

Migration update (not a fault): the LayaAir official site moved from layabox.com to layaair.com; updated. Deduplication: CiGA (ciga.me), GDC (gdconf.com) and Fab (fab.com) each keep a single listing; other places use cross-references. Ongoing mechanism: folded into the repository CI (lychee, same criteria); "anti-scraping protection" domains go on a whitelist; dead links are handled per the link policy in §12 of the design doc.
